Warm Winter Wishes from Tullich Apartment

As we draw near to the end of 2025, we are reflecting upon and celebrating what a wonderful year we have had welcoming new and returning guests to Tullich Apartment throughout the seasons. It has been a pleasure for us to find out why guests have chosen to spend time in our treasured part of the world – from participating in Orienteering competitions, and attending events and festivals, to visiting friends and family or returning to a beloved childhood holiday destination – we love to connect with people from all over the world who love Ballater as much as we do.

Season Highlights

The Ballater Winter Festival brings in the festive cheer to our village with activities for everyone, including markets, reindeer, choirs and Santa’s grotto experience!

Hogmanay celebrations to bring in the new year offers the opportunity to join a local ceilidh, toast with a local whisky and sing “Auld Lang Syne” at the top of your lungs!

Natural Beauty
Shorter days and colder temperatures don’t get in the way of enjoying the natural beauty of our region – in fact, it enhances it!

It’s the perfect time to appreciate the robins paying visits to our gardens, the twinkling stars brightening the night sky, the snow dusting the hills and the stillness of the lochs.

Keeping Cosy
The reinvigorating effects of getting out in nature for a walk in the fresh air or – for the very brave – a quick dip in the freezing water have a really positive impact on your mood and energy levels during the winter months. Even better if you can look forward to cosying up and “coorie-ing in” with a warm drink, a hot bath and a relaxing evening at Tullich Apartment.
